SCRIPTURE from Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
THOUGHT Don’t you love it that Paul named God “the God of hope?” He made it his early ambition to literally wipe out Christianity until an encounter with the risen Jesus Christ spun him around. His great mind and education pitted him against the hope in which Christ-followers were finding joy and peace. It seemed foolish and dangerous, and literally enraged him to the point of murder! But a transformed mind and heart in Paul the Apostle wrote that trusting the God of hope fills us with joy and peace, and that the power of the Holy Spirit causes us to OVERFLOW WITH HOPE. And he walks it out by living a life of radical faith, encountering every challenge and obstacle with joy and peace.
