SCRIPTURE: 2 Cor. 11:26 NLT I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not.
THOUGHT: If I had a dime for every time in my life I was too scared to move, I would have a lot of dimes. I used to be paralyzed by fear: of failure, of being seen as a fool, of competition, of success, of dying…you name it. Jesus changed all that. Somehow, as we encounter Jesus and begin to trust him for life, rather than our own strategies, our fear gets buried by our faith a little more with every challenge we face. It happened for Paul, and it can happen for us.
