SCRIPTURE: Hosea 2:14 NLT But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there.
THOUGHT: I look at pictures of the desert sometimes, or the Sinai wilderness, and find it a fearsome place — yet the desert is God’s appointed place to win hearts and shape lives, to speak tenderly. If you find yourself in a desert, don’t run in fear, stop; linger long enough to hear what God is whispering. You might even want to stay to hear more.
PRAYER: Thank you that you woo us to a desert sometimes God, a place of few distractions, to win our hearts, shape our lives and speak tenderly to us.
