Yea! I’m in trouble!

SCRIPTURE: Romans 5:3-4 MSG We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next.

THOUGHT: I find myself laughing at the mental picture of shouting my praise because I’m in trouble and know it’s developing patience. Who says God doesn’t have a sense of humor? I’m pretty sure he’s at least chuckling some days as I live out my quarantine life, forging the tempered steel of virtue using my loved ones as guinea pigs.

PRAYER: God, give us a vision of what we will look like with passionate patience and the tempered steel of virtue — keep us moving forward into the fullness of life in you, whatever is going on around us!
