SCRIPTURE: 1 Cor. 2:15-16 MSG Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing, and can’t be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah’s question, “Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?” has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit.
THOUGHT: Like a skeleton key that opens every door, being connected to Jesus Christ opens to us a whole new world — the kingdom of heaven, where Paul says we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing. Keeping that connection strong is truly everything in the Christian life. Abiding in the vine, Jesus would say.
To the rest of the human world, we may look crazy, but Paul says not to worry. When we step into life in the kingdom we can’t be judged by unspiritual critics. Those who judge don’t see or think or value what we do. All we can do is invite them along when they’re ready.
