Willing

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 6:1, 5 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

THOUGHT: I said Tuesday that people generally have one of two reactions when they see God for who he is. They either run and try to hide, or fall down in worship, aware suddenly of their own less-than-perfect selves. Isaiah was one of the latter the day God called him. But, gratefully, his unclean status mattered far less than his willingness to become what God asked of him.

So how do you respond when God reveals himself to you?

PRAYER: Let us be among those who fall and worship, Lord. Thank you that you can and have ministered to our unclean status so that we can live in your presence always, becoming what you have called us to become.
