More Fruit, Please

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NLT Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way.

THOUGHT: If you’ve ever lived or worked with an impatient, demanding, and/or rude person, you’ve lived the downside of this verse. It’s the antithesis of love – and it leaves you feeling less than, inferior, and sometimes questioning what you’ve done, other times angry. Nothing good comes of it, that’s for sure. On the other hand, living or working with others who exhibit patience and kindness when you ask a question, have a problem, or need help feel like what they are: a Godsend.

PRAYER: God, someone today will need patience and kindness that your Spirit produces. It may be me; it may be another. Will you produce the fruit of love in me so that I will be ready today, and each day until I see you and am made whole and complete?
