The Fear-of-God means hating Evil, whose ways I hate with a passion— pride and arrogance and crooked talk. Good counsel and common sense are my characteristics; I am both Insight and the Virtue to live it out. With my help, leaders rule, and lawmakers legislate fairly; With my help, governors govern, along with all in legitimate authority. I love those who love me; those who look for me find me.
THOUGHT: Hello Lady Wisdom, so glad to see you! Welcome also to your neighbors: sanity, knowledge, and discretion. I hate evil like you do, and its neighbors: pride, arrogance, and crooked talk, and hold tightly to a healthy dose of fear-of-God. I love you and what comes with you – the good counsel and common sense I desperately need every minute of every day; the insight and virtue to live out what you show me. As I have been broken of my own ways and learned to love you, I’ve seen how you’ve loved me back – you’ve let yourself be found, and by God’s grace, our friendship will only grow deeper.
