SCRIPTURE: Acts 17:19-21 NLT “Come and tell us about this new teaching,” they said. “You are saying some rather strange things, and we want to know what it’s all about.” (It should be explained that all the Athenians as well as the foreigners in Athens seemed to spend all their time discussing the latest ideas.)
THOUGHT: The academy today is much the same as in ancient Greece where Plato founded and named it in 385 BC. Then as now, every new idea was turned around, tried on, and trotted out. But Paul preached hope and truth there, and some believed. May all the “discussers” be so hungry for truth, they cease to simply be curious, and actually taste and see.

PRAYER: Open the doors to the curious, Lord; lead us there to tell our good news. May anyone you’ve made hungry enough for truth taste and see.
