SCRIPTURE: Acts 17:26 NLT From one (blood) he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.
THOUGHT: We all bleed red. It doesn’t take but .1 millimeter to get below the epidermal layers of skin where all humans share the same color. God did this. On purpose. He gave us a time and a place. Boundaries. Different nations would fill the earth (God’s earth; God’s ideas.) with a variety of customs, cultures, and colors. But God’s purpose was that they remember and seek him, not turn toward their own laws and lawlessness; enjoy the variety and love each other and life, not disintegrate into tribalism and hatred.
So, it was decided before we became a nation when we would rise and fall. And that’s the story of history. I pray we’re not falling, but it sure feels like it to me.
