THOUGHT: This Pilgrim Song of old ends with the reminder that God doesn’t passively watch us, he is actively involved in keeping us from harm – watching over is different from simply watching. And the LORD doesn’t just show up when we are on the way to worship, he is involved as we come and go about life, both now and forever. That’s good news for us who journey toward heaven.
