SCRIPTURE: Nehemiah 9:6 NLT You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you.
THOUGHT: It’s interesting, that right in creation, God is teaching us his presence doesn’t rely on visibility.
Fred and I sat outside at 6 am this morning with coffee and the stars were just beautiful. I felt that still-small whisper encouraging me, that although those stars all seem to disappear – although everything seems to change in the fierce light of the star closest to earth, it doesn’t really. They’re very much present, even when we can’t see them. And so is the God who created them.
PRAYER: God, sometimes we wonder if you’ve disappeared, but it’s the fierce rays of lesser lights that makes us wonder. Grow our faith that you are there, faithful to your promises, and so deserving of our worship.
