SCRIPTURE: Psalm 121:8 MSG God guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.
THOUGHT: I certainly have gravitated toward looking for hope this week, and still, I have a gnawing on my insides. I feel unsafe. This passage is from a Psalm of Ascent, sung during a hard, sometimes dangerous pilgrimage to the temple at Jerusalem.
We, too, are on a hard, sometimes dangerous journey – even those who don’t feel it as I do, and its end will be glorious worship. Keeping that in mind as we climb is especially helpful, especially if the lyrics we sing remind us of God’s protection at every turn in the road.
What music do you need today to remind yourself of a great truth?

PRAYER: I’m going to sing today, Father, worshiping on the way up the mountain. You are good, you are faithful, you are with us.
