The Key

SCRIPTURE: Heb. 11:6 AMPC But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

THOUGHT: The right tool for the right job. If you’ve ever struggled with a flathead screwdriver when you needed a Phillips (or any variation of this!), you know what I’m talking about.

Some look at faith as a tool that helps them navigate life, but here’s a thought: Faith is not just another tool in our toolkit – it is the key to the lock on the box, and we don’t even access the right tools unless that key gets used.

PRAYER: Oh God, we try to use the tools without faith sometimes; without first coming near enough to believe you, to believe you are good, to believe that you will be found if we earnestly and diligently seek you out. Create a desperation in us for the key that unlocks everything else.
