SCRIPTURE: 1 Samuel 22:1 ESV David departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam.
THOUGHT: Have you ever found yourself in a cave of Adullam? The place you huddled in terror as forces you weren’t in control of raged around you; the place where visions of the life you imagined haunted you, making you wonder if the calling and anointing were all just a dream?
This is the place a young David found himself. Haunted and hunted, but annointed. Promised a kingdom that just wasn’t going to happen like he thought it would happen. But then it did. And it’s good to remember that every cave eventually has a dead end or an exit, and the pathway to God’s promise isn’t hampered by either.

PRAYER: Oh God, you’ve taught me to trust you at every turn, every bend, every dead end – every dark cave that must yield to your promises. Help me never, never, never give up.
