SCRIPTURE: Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:20-22 NIV
THOUGHT: Are you (and I) fully persuaded that God has the power to do what he has promised? Does our unwavering trust strengthen our faith and worship? This is what God watches for in our lives – this is what he calls righteousness; not being perfect, flawless in our performance or sinless at the end of the day. Our obedience is something God treasures, but it’s just legalism if it’s offered without faith in the promises of our great and wonderful God.

PRAYER: All your promises, oh God! When I try to think of them all together, it is impossible, but this I can easily remember: No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly (Ps. 84:11).
