SCRIPTURE: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 KJV

THOUGHT: When it all boils down to it, I can be kind of a wimp. It wasn’t always that way, but it is true now. My heart argues something like, but God if you love me, why do you allow the climb to be so steep, the mountains so endless? The answer comes back as it has so many times before, I am with you. I will never leave you or forsake you. Don’t be afraid, only believe.
And so, I have to leave my ‘wimpyness’ behind to climb. When I lift up my eyes and see the mountains ahead, I have to lift them still higher and remember there is a God who is greater than whatever faces me. He has a vested interest in us not becoming frightened wimps, but strong men and women of the truth, with stories to tell of his presence, his love, his grace, his power.
I’ve got mountains to climb, so I’ll have stories to tell
Amy Clemens “MOUNTAINS TO CLIMB” 7/14/19
How your grace was enough, how your love could prevail
On this journey up and down, sometimes lost but always found
So glad you’re at my side, I’ve got mountains to climb,
I’ve got mountains to climb
PRAYER: Oh God, thank you for all the stories you’ve given me to tell because of the mountains in my way.
