SCRIPTURE: For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the Lord. In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.” Psalm 10:3-4 ESV
THOUGHT: David, from his vantage thousands of years ago, wrote this lyric for a song that resonates more and more as time goes on. I watched a documentary the other evening called The Great Awakening (https://plandemicseries.com/watch-the-great-awakening-movie/), and it wasn’t about the great revival of the 1730s and 40s. It was about people today waking up to the reality that there are new gods gunning for power over humanity. In it is footage of Yuval Noah Harari, who is a technology consultant to the World Economic Forum, addressing that body at their annual meeting in 2018. His quote is worth deep reflection, as is the fact that it is now five years old – a light year in terms of advancing technology:
“Science is replacing evolution by natural selection with evolution by intelligent design. Not the intelligent design of some god above the clouds, but our intelligent design and the intelligent design of our clouds. The IBM cloud, the Microsoft cloud. These are the new driving forces of evolution.
Today we have the technology to hack human beings on a massive scale. And by this I mean, that if you have enough data and enough computing power, you can understand people better than they understand themselves. And then you can manipulate them in ways which were previously impossible.
You know, the whole idea that humans have this soul or spirit, this free will, that’s over.”
So the more highly evolved scientists discard the theory that evolution happens slowly over time with survival of the fittest; they make it happen now and shape the future according to their wishes by manipulating people in ways previously impossible. They define and manufacture the fittest rather than the painstaking wait for natural selection. They not only throw out God, they elevate the IBM cloud and the Microsoft cloud as the intelligent design they serve.
The peddlers of evolution have become the masters of it. The nuevo slaves, the common people, have no soul, spirit, or free will – that’s over, says Harari. Harari and Klaus Schwab, founder and chairman of the World Economic Forum, agree that whomever masters the data will master the world. Just a little bit of pride, right?
Just the idea of hacking human beings on a massive scale, tweaking them, changing them, undoubtedly shutting some of them down who no longer serve the purposes of the masters, is bone chilling to me. If you think about it long enough, this is a pure hatred of humanity and what it means to be human. These guys are serious. They look to communist dictators such as Xi Jinping as heroes. The suffering in China is astronomical, the persecution real,* the harvesting of organs from live victims substantiated,** as is their harvesting of DNA from Americans, as well as other world populations. Yet Jinping is the hero of WEF, together with other oppressive leaders from around the world, and China hosts the WEF’s summer meeting in Tianjin in two weeks. As you watch the documentary, you’ll see our own president and his wife sitting in the front row of the attendees during the 2023 gathering.
God help us as we live and serve among those who are greedy for gain, boasting of their human goals, desires, and agendas and, in the process, renouncing God. Perhaps there is nothing new under the sun, but somehow, that doesn’t give me much comfort.
PRAYER: Oh God, you are our help as darkness gathers. It cannot and will not put out the light of the world.
