Two Things

SCRIPTURE:  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 ESV

THOUGHT: Bet you thought Thing 1 and Thing 2 were only mischievous characters in a children’s book. But goodness! There they were in 1 Chronicles when I looked this morning!

Thing one: it’s all God’s. Thing two: it’s all in his hands.

Remembering that is a great way to start any day.

PRAYER: Oh God, it changes everything to look at my life through these two simple truths. You are an amazing Creator, and I see the truth of that everywhere I look. You hold it all in your hands: the rule, the power, the glory, the victory, the majesty, the strength – and yet, from your hand you share it with us you made in your image. In your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. Hallelujah!
