SCRIPTURE: Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. THOUGHT: Bet you thought Thing 1 and Thing 2 were only mischievous characters in a children’s book. But goodness! There they were in 1 Chronicles when I looked this morning!
Thing one: it’s all God’s. Thing two: it’s all in his hands.
Remembering that is a great way to start any day.
PRAYER: Oh God, it changes everything to look at my life through these two simple truths. You are an amazing Creator, and I see the truth of that everywhere I look. You hold it all in your hands: the rule, the power, the glory, the victory, the majesty, the strength – and yet, from your hand you share it with us you made in your image. In your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. Hallelujah!
