SCRIPTURE: Psalm 37:5 NLT Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.

THOUGHT: Scripture doesn’t really specify the time or distance between these two phrases — it could be an hour or a lifetime, but in the journey toward bigger faith, we learn that obedience to God’s words gives life. So, in an act of abandoned trust, we commit everything we do, everything we are, everything we have to him. We enter life in a kingdom that doesn’t follow the math, logic, or rules of this world. We relinquish control of outcomes, trusting that God’s ways and perspective are bigger and higher, and he will help us. How and when the help comes is up to him.

It’s a fair question: will we recognize it when it arrives?
