SCRIPTURE: Psalm 27:13 AMP I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

THOUGHT: Psalm 27 are the words of a human who’s lived to tell. David has been to the fire and back, he’s been the target of others’ wickedness and seen the depth of his own. As I once penned about my own rescue: back from the rubble with stories to tell / forged on the road between heaven and hell / raised from the ashes of all that has failed / back from the rubble with stories to tell.           

Never discount the power of your own journey with God to keep you from despair. Looking back at stories of faithfulness is the best way to look ahead.

PRAYER: Father, we all have stories of your faithfulness. Bring them to our mind, not just to give us confidence for our own future, but to share with another who needs encouragement today.
