No Rambling

SCRIPTURE: Acts 17:24-25 NLT 24 “He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need.”

THOUGHT: If you’ll memorize this passage, you can explain God in just 51 words. Paul’s sermon to the Athenians doesn’t ramble or preamble – it cuts to the chase, laying out the truth that God doesn’t need us, we need him. God doesn’t demand the temples and sacrifices and ritual worship they practice; rather, gives life and breath and satisfies every need they have.

PRAYER: You are not a God created by human hands. You are not a God dependent on any mortal man. You are not a God in need of anything we can give – by your plan, that’s just the way it is…. Right now, in the good times and bad, you are on your throne – you are God alone. Unchangeable. Unshakeable. Unstoppable. That’s what you are.
